15" Fuchs on the 6?
I have 16" Fuchs on my 914-6, which were on the car when I bought it. I would like to know what were the size of the 15" Fuchs offered in '70?

Yes, the original Fuchs alloy wheels were 14"x5.5". The Mahle gasburner wheels were 15"x5.5". The factory parts book also lists a 15"x5.5" Fuchs wheel, but I think there is a decent possibility that those were sold as replacement parts and were not necessarily offered on the 914-6.
Note that the dealers would put pretty much any wheel you asked for (that they could get) on the car; wheels were a pretty good profit center for them. I believe that the 911 did run 6" wide wheels in the 1970 model year, so those would have been available if a customer had asked for them. Heck, even the 15x7 "911R" wheel was available and could be made to fit with a little persuasion of the rear fenders. --DD
