914 foot rest details

Hi all,
Bit of long shot but would anyone lucky enough to have an original 914 passenger foot rest be able to let me have the dimensions so I could look to make a copy for my car? Getting a good second hand one seems nigh on impossible particularly in the UK....even rough ones are extortionate so thinking of making my own.
Can anyone help me out?

Do you need an early or late one? I have both and can ship to the UK.

Hi, I have an August 1970 1.7 so I would assume an early version......was not aware of early or late versions of the foot rest as I thought it was only available up to ‘72 in one form......what’s the difference?

Just to clarify, it is the dog-bone footrest I am looking for, not the footwell foam piece......

I have a 71 914/6 and would like the dimensions also. What is the inner structure made of and other than perlon was there foam glued to inner structure?

The car is in Deland, about an hour and a half away, I may try and get there next week

Further query for anyone, I have noticed some footrests have a tether strap and clip but some do not. Is this just a case that the strap has vanished with time or were some rests sent out tether-less?

I have never seen one without the tether.
It kept the footrest from flying around during
Hard cornering.
There was a D ring attached to a piece of material
that was anchored by a screw used by the
speaker housing on the passengers floor..

That was my understanding but as I’ve seen some tetherless ones about, curious to know if they are genuine state or just broken!
