Maybe Part Out 914
I would rather sell it as a whole but I would rather have the garage space back then be picky... :( :( :(
Let's see... I have over $8k in it so far... The F/G flares have been attached. It needs to have the 916 front bumper, rear bumper and flared F/G rockers installed. It needs the F/G front and rear hoods installed and then the whole car to be sanded and painted. The new cool stuff is: 5 Lug conversion on rear with pressed and welded studs (still have not found a 911 front end that I like...big big brakes) 914-6 Rear Rotors Weltmeister Suspension Bushing (Front and Rear) Rebuilt CV Joints Rear Wheel Bushings New OEM Windshield (Got it From the Dealer in Orlando) 19mm M/C VDO Numerical Oil Temp Guage SS Brake Lines "Solid" transmission mounts Pertronix Ignition MSD Ignition Box with Rev Limiter Pill MSD Performance Coil MSD Plug Wires Weltmeister Shift Lockout Kit BMW Calipers on Front Front 914 Calipers on Rear Brake Tee Bilstein Rear Shocks 140# Rear Springs New Rear Floorpans New Lower Firewall (all of the structural rust is gone, the repaint was going to take care of the surface rust) Resealed Front of Motor Dellorto 40 DRLAs Front Trunk Mounted Fuel Pump SS Flexible Fuel Lines Steel Fuel Lines Through Tunnel Rebuilt Pedal Cluster "Terry" Clutch Cable "Terry" Accel Cable Altenator Shift Linkage Bushings Spare Parts: Mounted Goodyear Racing Slicks Brand New Windshield Moldings (Got from dealer in Orlando) Front Suspension Rear Suspension 901 Transmission 1.8 Liter Engine Case All the 1.8 Liter Engine Parts 2.0L Crank and Rods (Small End Rebushed) Web Cam 86b Camshaft 2 Sets 1.8L Cylinders and Pistons (One Piston has cracked ring land) Axles Misc Stuff I pulled from my parts car And the best part is I have almost all of the receipts documenting the above!!! Make me some kind of an offer... You can haul the whole mess away for $5k... |
ooohhh JB!!! you getting rid of your 914?!? say it ain't sooooo!!!! bummer!! you got so much investd in it!!
hope things works out!! doug |
Doug,
I am extremely sad about this!!! But with the second little one I hardly have any time to work on it. Unless I hit the lotto and can have someone finish the bodywork, it is just taking up way too much garage space. At least it was a great excuse to buy some cool tools. Sixer next time definitely though!!! |
Doug,
Do you know anyone that would like to do a 914 resto project? JB |
jb,
yep, i understand. sorry i don't know anybody that would be interested. if you can get some ads out hopefully someone will be interested. yeah, make the next one a $ix!! hey, i saw a light blue 914 parked at a house in indialantic the other day. don't know if they live there or were just visiting, haven't seen it again. it's probably in the garage on jack stands!! (-: doug |

Bilstein Rear Shocks 140# Rear Springs Pertronix Ignition MSD Ignition Box with Rev Limiter Pill MSD Performance Coil MSD Plug Wires also, do you have a side-**** tranny and the linkage needed to convert a tail-shifter? |
