WTB: trunk button
 

I'm looking for a trunk button in very good condition with key for my '74 914.

let me look. I think I have one. this is the tumbler right? if so I have one. I took it apart to clean the tumblers. It's been soaking in a jar of solvent somewhere in the garage. I'll check and make sure its all still there. Toss me $15 (get me a couple of German 6ers) if I got it, key and all.

I found it. Soaking in a jar. I don't have an extra key lying around, at least not one I can find in the next 5 minutes...BUT I do have at least one key left, It's ready to be shipped with the steering column. I can get a copy made quick if you want the lock. Let me know ASAP before I ship the last known key.

Odie, I need the lock for the trunk. It sounds like you have an ignition switch. Did I misunderstand? Mark

it's the rear trunk lock "button". All the locks on the 914 use the same key. I only have one key left so I will need to make you a copy using the ignition key. Unless you are going to re-key the lock to match your other keys (easy to do), then you don't need the key since you will be re-arranging all the tumblers.

OK, It threw me when you were talking about the steering column. You should send me a key since I don't know how to re-key the lock. If the chrome is in good shape I'll take it. Let me know how to pay. My e-mail address is mjs93@comcast.net. Mark

All I have is the center button/lock cylinder. the outer chrome ring/body is missing. I've been looking for it but don't know what happened to it. When you said "button" I thought you were just looking for the actual button part.
