parting out a 1971 914.
let me know what parts you need. its a standard 914 with the combo pass seat and backrest and 1.7 engine.
its a nice car but i have no place for it anymore, and theres no market for 914's in south florida. i figure i will make more money parting it out than i would selling it locally. a couple of goodies that it has is red shocks in the back, i think koni's. its got the nicest clean straight rust free doors in the known 914 world. its got empi aluminum wheels on 205/60 performance tyres. it had a big brake kit but my dad took that. let me know what you need! |

Do the rear hubs have the bosses on them for drilling for 5 lugs? If so, how much?

korijo, what do ya mean by a lower dash? i dont think it has one of those. do you mean the black a/c vent assembly?
gregd, they do indeed have the bosses for 5 lugs. i did some searching on pelican parts to see what other people were selling early hubs with the 5 lug bosses for, and they go for between $150 and $200. uhm i guess i would ask $175. does this seem like a fair price to you? ill include free 3 day shipping with tracking number and shipping insurance on my dime. oh yeah, if anyone wants, i have some 914 a/c parts. i stripped out a 914 a couple years ago which had air conditioning, and i saved all the parts. i dont know if the parts are factory or not as i never seen an air conditioned 914 before this. Seems high to me. I bought a set already drilled w/studs for $80. They didn't have the bosses though. I was wanting the earlier hubs. I guess I will pass.
Thanks, Greg

i believe that the early hubs with 5 lug bosses are quite a bit stronger than later models with no bosses because the later model hubs are alot thinner. this is why early hubs cost more.
sorry we couldnt come to a deal. thanks. |
