T4 engine FS , 2.3 liters S O L D !!!!

A running ( also smoking....) engine for sale. GA case , 103mm pistons & cyls , 914 heads / 2 liter ones , WEB CAM hydraulic cam , 44 Webers , rotary fuel pump , 050 dizzy with PERTRONIX .

Runs & drives , started to smoke. Dont know what is wrong. No time ( or interest ) to investigate. Stock engine coming together , and should go back in soon.

Still possible to see it run ( smoke... ) , hear it and drive.

I am looking for a localbuyer , who can come and see it personally BEFORE I drop it.

I am not interested in shipping it , too much hassle. The engine is in my car right now , and the car & engine are both in DC.

Looking for something like 1200 for the whole longblock.I need the enginesheetmetal myself and I will also keep the alternator & starter & muffler parts etc etc for my stock engine.

If you want to play with a 2.3 engine , or want to test your skills.... this is it !

I dropped the engine , as the next one ( stock ) is coming back together fast!!!!

So if any local/close by 912 or 914 owner is thinking about going for the 2.3 route..... all the main goodies are here.

Find out the trouble , and you are ready to go....

Open for offers too ;)

any idea what kind of power this is putting down?

eki912 12-25-2006 07:20 AM

Still have this in my garage

OK , now it is time to get this thing out !!

Save me the trouble of getting my hands dirty , and parting it to E-BAy or something....:(

Come and have a look , of all the goodies I have here. And how they look , and start your own project ! The bits & pieces are all in DC.And heads are off , so you can see the heads in your hands. And also you will be able to see the pistons & cylinders. This engine was only driven for about 200 miles....

Comes with the fancy carb tuner device too.
And engine stand , not the tabletop one , the one that stands on its own feet , and has wheels under it too.

And price adjusted ... , to 750$ or something in that region...

Would you be interested in selling just the webbers?

Thanks
Kevin

At the moment no. Sorry.

Still hoping that someone would buy the whole lot , rather than start parting it.

But as I mentioned , if no luck in selling , I will take it to pieces , and
E-BAY them.

Like case & pistons & cyls , heads , and the carbs.

Will keep you all informed , when I start parting them.

is there anything mechanically wrong with motor/ and what's the power output on it

mike

Mechanically wrong ??? It smokes !!!!
It was working when it was dropped. I drove it in to garage myself. It was just simply blowing too much blue smoke , and consumed too much oil to my liking.....
The power output..... Hmmmmm , I drove it , not much , but I did drive it for several spirited runs , and there was plenty more force , than in my stock 2.0. Which is no surprise , with the 103 kit and 44 webers , it should make atleast a few more ponies. No figures , I couldnīt measure it.

A friend of mine once told me , when you start making tune-ups etc for your car to get more HPs.and start spending money on expensive tuning items ... if you have lost less than 30% of your original power , you can call it a success ....

The whole lot , officially SOLD !!!!

Thanks for all the enquiries !
