I purchased a pair of 165 lb springs, then had a chance to pick up a 180 lb pair from a local owner and installed them instead.
These are new, never installed. Asking $75 plus shipping from 85301. ![]() Sold: Thanks John and thanks Pelican Parts

Greg,
Are these springs progressive? Will these springs make the rear of the car sit lower than stock and if so, how much?

I am not sure on the progressive bit, but one of the reasons I got them was to lower the back a little, besides stiffening up the rear.
I have had them quite a while, but I don't recall anything about them being progressive, so lets assume they are not. Thanks for asking.

you can see they are linear due to the equally spaced spring coils (assuming the wire is the same diamter throughout)
progressives have "progressively" farther spaced coils

Thanks Aaron.
They are not progressive. I have heard stock is somewhere between 90 and 100 lbs, so they will stiffen up the rear. I understand 140 lbs is a good compromise for street and AX. These are going to be good to AX and DE events, but may be a little harsh in a daily driver. Still available.

They look progressive to me. Check out the spacing between coils at the top of the spring versus the center.
I'd take a caliper to the coil spacing to verify... or a uniform piece of material (for reference). It could be a tricky camera angle, but my vote is for progressive, in which case Joe (KaptKaos) is in need of a pair. I'll forward him to this thread.

From mid point to the top the coils are closer. So Progressive after all?

With these springs on a stock 2L 914, how would the ride height compare with stock springs?

They allow the car to sit a little lower in the back. John bought them, so maybe he will post pictures once their installed.
