FS: Recaro Bucket seat

I am offering my Recaro bucket seat which I planned to use in my 1965/ 911.

It's a rare seat, the bottom of the bucket is open (factory). I have been told that this would be an extra dimension to use it in a 914/6 (GT) since you are able to sit a bit lower.

The seat is in a very original condition, hardly used so it has lots of patina. There are two flaws:

a. one bolster has dried up on the top section. I asked the pro's like Tony Garcia and Thomas Pocius and it can be replaced by either used or new material. If you want to have it replaced I would contact one of them. You can also use the seat as is, it depends on what you are after.
b. the plastic receiver for the headrest. One is missing a small chip, the other is slightly cracked but all there.

Other than that is this seat looks like NOS to me (it's not NOS!). It does have the made in Germany sticker and a small white production sticker on the bottom. The fabric is tight.

This seat doesn't come w/ sliders or tilting frame. Just the bucket and the headrest.

A few years ago I asked Peter Zwinakis what it's worth and back then he responded, a $1000 min. Randy wells recently sold his seat (kind of similar) for $1500, w/o shipping.

I am asking $1300 incl. insured shipping w/i the US or Europe.
