1.8 Motor and Trans

I have a 1974 1.8L motor and Transmission that is taking up alot of room in my garage. I parted out the car a number of years ago and tucked the motor and trans under a Shelving unit for what ever reason. The car that I took these from was not running at the time but was told by the previous owner that they had been maintained well, whatever that might mean. The motor was dropped for the car with everything so it is very complete. I would expect that the motor might need some basic maintenance.
For Both I would like 450 dollars, and must be picked up from my house in Naperville, Illinois. I am willing to entertain offers and they do not have to be sold as a set. I can take some pictures and post them soon, Thanks Mike

The last owner was a young kid that when off to college and ended up getting a job out in Colorado. He signed the title over to his parents who sold it to me. The car didn't move from the spot it was parked in years. To my understatnding the car was running and driving at the time it was parked.

One advantage of living in Long Beach is there are a zillion freight forwarders around here and I'm sure if we found the right one, I could just rent a truck and pick up the engine/trans at their dock. Don't know if you're willing to go that route though.

Porsche-O-Phile I just wanted to post that I have some interest in the transmission and felt it only fair to make sure you are not interested because I have not heard back from you abou shipping to California.
If I don't hear back from you by Sunday night I will allow the transmission to be bought.
