FS: Raby 2270 Type 4 Core Kit
 

All the basics for your 2270 kit from Raby's Aircooled Technology. Components are disassembled, cleaned, and inspected. Excellent choice for building a kit without the hastle of sourcing a core engine, paying for freight shipping, and spending time on disassembly and cleaning.

Includes items required for RAT cores:
* 1.7L ("EB") case from 412 squareback -- excellent condition compared to bus cases; EFI motor, so no need for fuel pump block-off; remote oil filler/dip stick like with bus (can be converted for bug or 914)
* 1.7L crank
* 914 Forged 215mm flywheel
* Cooling fan (no broken fins)

Also includes other essentials to complete the build with item provided in RAT kit:
* Case and head hardware
* Oil filter cover and inspection plate
* Distributor drive
* Oil filter adapter
* Rocker shaft end blocks
* Push rod tube retainer springs
* Valve covers
* Distributor clamp

All of the above for $250 plus $75 for UPS ground shipping to Jake.

for what size of piston this case has been cut?

It's a stock 1700 case. For 2270 build, the cylinder registers would need to be bored (part of Jake's prep service).
