914-6 911 2.7 Rebuilt engine for Sale
I have a 2.7 that I had rebuilt this past year for a 914-6 project. I just bought a 3.0 SC engine off a friend and no longer need this 2.7 so I am going to try and sell it for $3000. It was a low mileage engine with around 110,000 miles on it when it was rebuilt by it previous owner, new head studs and inserts, full valve job with guides etc. Unfortunatly one of the cylinder head seals was not installed correctly and on of the cylinders leaked. The engine was run this way for 10,000 miles and then I got it. I completly took the entire engine apart and cleaned everything and had my friend a Factory Trained Tech assemble the whole thing with: all new bearings STD/STD, new gasket set, new rings, valve lapping and spring height checked, new chains and chain guides, new oil lines, turbo valve cover upgrade, tensioner locks (to prevent engine catastrophy).
The engine also includes: all sheetmetal fan, housing, alternator, shroud, distributor w/new cap rotor, engine mount. I know buying a 911 engine is an expensive cautious thing, so I will back this engine and give my word that it is what I say it is and is not junk. It is a 7R case (the good one) and there are no problems with the head studs although inserts were installed just in case, not sure if the studs are Divlar. The person who assembled this engine is a head mechanic for a very respected Los Angeles area shop. He is factory trained and has built many of these engines in the past. This engine will start right up and have plenty of power (around 165hp with wimpy CIS) with Webers and a header it can produce up to 190hp. This is an excelent upgrade for an earlier car or a 914-6. Please email me if you have any questions. Price is $3000 plus shipping, buyer must pay all shipping costs, I can deliver to LA and San Diego. Trades are possible. email me ALLAIRCOOLED@yahoo.com
