A doobie is a slang term for a joint, a blunt, or a marijuana cigarette

What program is that? did you buy that diagram prog, or is there a website?
I think it IS the waterpump then!

It's a really hard place to find... try clicking on parts diagram, or you can just click my link http://www.pelicanparts.com/944/944_parts/944_83-85.htm http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...s/a_frusty.gif

Went for a job interview and the HR gal told me I had to take a drug test.

Wow! What drugs do you have? I asked.

924S-fast 02-28-2003 05:53 PM

really? was it hard to find? or were you just being sarcastic?
I dont know, I am assuming you are being sarcastic because those diagrams are on this site

Trevor 02-28-2003 05:55 PM

Taking the baby aspirins is actually a good habbit F.R. 924S-fast I thought you didn't even have your license yet. Where were you driving? By the way don't incriminate yourself, your claims here hold up as evidence in a court of law.

924S-fast 02-28-2003 05:57 PM

I am sixteen man, lol, you are right. I should probobly tone it down a notch. I am a very honest person and sometimes I say more than I should.
I think I have this whole cooling system deal figured out.

Your enthusiasm is over taking your common sense.

924S-fast 02-28-2003 06:02 PM

oh yes, it surely is, I'll try not to be enthusiastic, I am very sorry for all of the trouble, and excitement I may have caused, I hope I didnt hurt anybody's feelings, I would feel just plain horrible! :(

The patch did it for me, all it took was the patch.

924S-fast 02-28-2003 06:06 PM

Not hurting my feelings. Just don't want to see another parts car.

Scott R 02-28-2003 06:21 PM

So order a water pump and some new belts.

924S-fast 02-28-2003 08:36 PM

hahahaha, I fedex bro!
yes, I should probobly tone it down, you are right:
1. I could eat alot of glass and pavement
2. I just got the car, and I should take it slow
3. I dont have my valentine 1 wired into my dash yet
4. If I get a ticket, my License is taken until I am 18 (that'd REALLY suk)

so yes, you are all very correct

BUT, I dont know as if there are even any belts connecting to my water pump!, it's really weird. this piece IS a waterpump, I now KNOW that, but doesnt the waterpump have belts on it? Mine doesnt seem to.

I don't have one at all, just don't be stupid when you go out, check the road first for cops and if the road is busy don't play there. I ussually have a V-1 sittin on my dash too, just makes me feel safer;)

gearhead290 02-28-2003 09:12 PM

I'm gonna clarify that, one of my friends has one and he always lets me borrow it.

AFJuvat 02-28-2003 09:20 PM

Leaving the doobie buffoonery out of this for a moment,

924S-fast: do the following:

Check you hoses connecting to that "thingy" between 19 and 22 - that is your waterpump - you cant see most of it because it is behind the timing belt covers

locate the source of the leak - if it is coming from a hose - all is good, correct as necessary, if it is dripping from your timing belt cover, your pump must be replaced.

Timing belt job goes with a water pump replacement - you are looking at around $5 - 600 to have a shop do it.

NO, you can't tension your belts yourself - you don't nearly have enough experience yet. Not a slam against your age, but you are new to the car and the mechanics surrounding the car.

Have a shop do it, then ask (POLITELY) if they will let you watch. Most independant shops will if you ask nicely and you aren't a pain in the ass.

Drug jokes: Ok, been quiet up till now for the most part let me offer you the following advice - I don't name call, I don't get nasty, I just offer free advice.

This is a little community here, we all know each other pretty well - at least as far as you can on a BBS, though I know there is some personal interaction amongst members as well. In short, we all know what is acceptable and what isn't to others and adapt accordingly.

You are new - you got slammed the first round of posts - wrong on your part and in all honesty, probably wrong on ours. That said, before you make off color jokes (the nekkid girls one was pretty funny IMHO), look around and see the "tone" of the BBS, then work your sense of humor into it. You will do much better to allow others to get to know you before you use humor - as you have seen, it can be taken the wrong way very easily.

This BBS is a great resource - there is a ton of knowledge available here for FREE, many of us will give it and other, much harder to find information free if we think the person can benefit from it.

Take a step back, get to know us, and allow us to get to know you before you throw some off color humor in the mix - Learn your audience.

I do give you a degree of credit for standing up for yourself in your "I'm not a dik" post. It takes a lot to swallow some pride

You got the right mindset, just slow it down a little - watch and learn.

AFJuvat,

Very sound advice. That should be required reading before joining the BBS.

A round of applause for AF!

924sfast, get those belts and pump checked before you drive that car anymore!! You can easily end up with a repair bill that exceeds the value of the car if you let it go! It appears that you have too much of an investment at this point to swallow something like that.

If there isn't one, then maybe there should be an ethiquette guide to this forum. To must of us, good behavior comes hand in hand with common sense. For others, common sense is neglected.

This post has been quite humorous to say the least.
What was that word again "noogie"??!!

Tres funny...
