87 951 wheel fittment..
Thinking about buying some 928 sewer lids to use while I have my 944 sewer lids refinished. Trying to figure out if et65’s will work on my 87 951 (fronts). They are on an 87 NA now.... to complicate it, I have m030 and Weltmiester 1.25 lowering springs.
My car was optioned with the sewer lids, and the PET lists a et65 forged Fuchs sewer lid with a 951 part number for the m030 (which my car was not optioned with...but added) Just trying to figure out if I can use them without spacers. Information on this is dizzying, any thoughts?

Confused, how did you fit Weltmeister lowering springs onto M030 struts which already have adjustable height spring perches.

So basically iirc your car came with et53 offset wheels, therefore if you fit the same width wheels except with an offset of et65 instead of et53, your new wheels will stick 12mm or 1/2in further into your wheel well. Just make sure you have more than 1/2in clearance inboard of your existing wheels and you should be fine.

Yikes.... I didn’t even think about the studs. Derrrrr. Might be more trouble than letting it sit on stands while the wheels are out. Wife is about to murder me though while her C4S sits outside.
