Some sellers are not honest, and some are just plain horrible at customer service.

Here I purchased thousands of dollars in work and parts from a seller, which I received, and eventually found was missing part of the balance shaft block-off kit they made. The kit was different than the LR kit, so at first I thought I was missing a few pieces, then I realized I was only missing one. The seller was an ass about it because I didn't immediately know how their home designed kit worked.

Finally they agreed to make the missing part and send it to complete the kit that I had paid for already.

After weeks of receiving nothing, I followed up.
This is the reply. Now I have an incomplete kit which I paid for, and the shady seller won't stand by their business and make it right.

No receipt, no tracking, no luck.

Sorry to hear that.

Offer to buy another one and chalk it up to life's experience.

I will not buy anything from that seller again. Quality or not, it was the worst experience ive had. I sent about the missing part in July.

Why are you talking bad about someone on a technical forum? This isn’t the place for foul mouthing a person of business, this is a place to discus technical issues. Do you expect someone here to help you out on this thread you started or do you have other reasons for posting? If you have a problem deal with it yourself, I’m sure you’re a big boy.

Btw, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with MM over many, many years. What I will say is that he doesn’t suffer fools gladly and I’ll leave it at that.

9FF,

While I agree with the principle of what you are saying, "There's a place for this", I don't agree with your tone and poor attitude at all. My standard on forums is "If I wouldn't say this to the person's face around a campfire, don't say it on the forum."

I'd fully expect if you said that in person, that PDX would knock your block off. And you'd deserve it. There's a place for your attitude, and it's not here where people are interested in helping others.

The reason I posted here, is that there isn't another section for this other than the for sale section. So I posted it for the 944 people where it was accessible.
It is good practice, no matter who you shop from, to get tracking and shipping information.

Thank you for posting this. Others considering buying from should be told. We can't just talk about only one side of customer service without sharing both. That's like covering up half the truth and hiding the bad for fear of insulting someone's feelings. Potential buyers need to know.

MM has done a great deal for the community. I get it. That's why I went to him to have work done. I was not expecting to come away feeling like trash every time I talked to him.
I asked him some simple questions, and got most of my answers elsewhere because I didn't feel like he wanted to help me with anything other than the work and getting paid. Perhaps he's just sick of years of helping people and lost his patience. It happens. But here we are.
