Double DIN stereo : connections
Big topic I know. Want to put a Bluetooth double DIN car stereo head in the 944.
I care most about knowing the connections to make, and what can be done to make this work. Basic entry level no amplifiers type connections, to existing speakers that worked with single DIN CD player. Is that molex connector in the 944 adequate? |

As others suggested, look on the Crutchfield site to see which model(s) you're interested in. The search on line for the corresponding install manuals. The manual should show you the configurations of the wiring harness.
BTW: the biggest challenge is likely fitting the double din in the console. With the updated dash design, you will need to cut the crossbar between the sngle DIN slot and the cubby below and then find a way to attach the unit to the console. Depth could also be a problem. You'll probably need to tilt the unit to to raise the back up to fit the unit fully back into the console.
