924 Decklid latches
Does anyone know where i can find a pair of decklid latches for a '79 924? The latch-pin broke for the left side & the right pin looks suspicious. I checked the Automotion catalog & couldn't find any...
Also, I'm still new to the porsche restoration game, so any additional info on parts suppliers, magazines, etc. would be greatly appreciated! |

Are they stock latches or are they aftermarket pins? I have a 81-924 parts car .

I started visiting my local pick your part auto dismantler. I found a 924 same year as my wifes. The parts price are in expensive. You may want to check your local yellow pages for auto dismantlers & take a chance.

Doug: Not positive, but i'm pretty sure they're stock pins. There is a threaded stud w/ what can be described as an 'arrowhead' on the end that is held inplace on the decklid edge by a sort of bracket w/ a rubber grommet on the other end to secure it to the bracket... sorry, hard to describe but hopefully ya get the idea...
