Arnnworx 920Xv6 - slack belt?
Hi Team!
924S 1988 with auto tensioner So, going to bite the bullet and invest in this: Arnnworx, 920Xv6 http://www.arnnworx.com/catalog/index.php… and have seen the help videos. The only bit I do not understand is why they put the slack back up to the belt on the longest run, 920Xv6 Info where the tension tool is by turning the crank counter clockwise. This is then where you place the tension tool to get the readings. i.e on the slack bit. On other videos I have seen like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpR6dWWiILk they make sure there is no slack on the longest run by putting on belt with cam advanced by one tooth and then turning cam back to TDC. Anyone out there used one of these tools? Thanks, M

I have been using the tool*today, I ordered recently with the Maxi Kit, on the Balance belt. Took a few goes but got there in the end.*
I also tested out the tension on my Cam belt. The reading was X96. This was changed by a proper Porsche garage in March 2016 and has only covered only about 8,000 miles since then. So guess it has*gone a bit looser since then. So here’s my ‘numpty’ question. I am looking at the Cam Belt Desired Deflection Values.*I understand the higher the number the less tight the belt is. So a new tight belt will be at its factory tightest at X90?…..so why is a used belt a lower number i.e X01 -X05…using Bruce's*logic of a lower number being tighter………..or is this because it swings past X99 clockwise, in reality this would be X101 -X105? Are we saying we are tightening up an old belt that has stretched a bit? Also, what do you define as a used belt? Is this based on mileage? With mine being 8,000 miles old I guess this is just outside of new?! Sorry for all these questions……almost there! Thanks, M
