Early vs. Late Inside Door Levers/Bezels

I have a 1984 944. Seems impossible to find good quality inside door levers and bezels. If available they are dark brown and all scratched and chipped up. There are lots of later style handles available.

Do the later style inside door handles (rounded look) and bezels fit the early model cars/doors?

Yes they do fit. They bolt right on. You don't even have to remove the door panel to put them on. However, you do need to trim your early door panel to allow the later, larger handle to operate.
