Question aluminum trailing arms question?

Hey guys hopefully you can help me out. I picked up two sets of aluminum trailing arms in a trade I don't really know what they are off (besides some variant of a 944) there looks to be two part numbers per arm 951-331-5134R and 951.331.513.04ssw... so can u guys help.me out what are these from and where should I list them FS? I seem to recall hearing that the alloy rear arms are an upgrade for the steel, and maybe something about VW bugs have use for them too. Let me know what you guys think.
thanks.
ian

I was asking similar questions a few years back and learned that the numbers stamped into the alloy arms are not part numbers per se, but "casting numbers."

I take it you have an early 944. . .alloy arms from an 86 951 or any 924S will bolt up, but you need longer axles. Not sure if the "upgrade" is worth the hassle of doing the swap unless you are going all out, dropping the carrier, and refurbing the whole rear suspension, which is what I did on my 931.

If you don't get any better answers, I can check the casting numbers on my car.

You could put them on the Pelican forum "Used parts classified"
But without knowing the donor vehicle and true condition of part, you may not find a buyer.

Rasta, i actually own a 914, i got the arms along with the stub axles (axles are what i wanted) so im just looking for a hint on where i should post them for sale and maybe some help on what they are...

yes i am planning on putting them up on this forum but like yo said John_AZ without a discription of what they are i think itll be more difficult to find a buyer...

so there is no way to tell what they are from the part numbers? or other markings on them?
