Frank why dont you do a wolfpri front bumper mod? and why do you need the bumper shocks?....hunters,924sfast..which one.

Frank B 03-26-2003 12:28 PM

wtf is that FTY?.. I'm interested...tell me more..
need bumper shocks because the passenger side shock is pushed in a little which is making the bumper crooked..

scottmandue 03-26-2003 02:46 PM

Front bumper shocks are... uh... shocks so they have hydraulic fluid under pressure holding them in place. You can drill a hole in the shock (be careful toxic fluid under pressure) drain the shocks then push the bumper all the way in. Kind of gives it a pseudo turbo front end look, I rather like it… even thought of doing it to my car, but I love the car so much as is couldn’t bring myself to change it.

Frank B 03-26-2003 02:52 PM

hmm..
will it cause the amber lights to be obstructed?..
sounds like a reasonable solution.. I hate the front bumper on the N/A's as it is, it's really goofy looking, looks like a ladder on the front of your car or a diving board.. or a canoe (on it's side) or........

highboost951 03-26-2003 03:50 PM

They absorb small impacts; if they're deleted your frame absorbs them. I agree it looks better but a small bump will cost a lot more to fix, not smart.

That didn't look like a shameless plug to sell the impact shocks did it??? ;)

nah... well...... yeah....

this is what the front bumper mod, or "wolfpri" mod looks like. my 87 N/A.

I had a 70 road runner with a 383 and I msut have cracked like 3 blocks before I was smart enough to get a 440 and hang on. I got the car to 11.6 before I sold it. It sure was ugly too. All crap brown and prime.

As for the bumper mod I think it looks sweet. I am gonna go drill away on my parts car to see how it looks in person.
