Transmission Noise (Solved)
My 951 limited slip is making a hissing sound when I accelerate in any gear. It is not a grinding noise. It just hisses, and it seems to be getting louder as time goes on.
Has anyone experienced this before? The noise bothers me because this is my track car. If tranny broke in a turn at full throttle, I could have a problem. I worry about it because it could be a safety issue.

Problem solved: The rubber plug fell out. It is located right at the rear of the tranny in the spare tire well. With it missing, you get a lot of gear hiss from tranny which is close to hole.
I have no sound deadening material in rear of car - no carpet, nothing.
