Miracle wire
I stumbled onto a fix for a lot of woe’s in a 951 – engine grounding!
I put a thick wire from the rear motor lift – behind the cam cover next to firewall on the passenger side to a strut bolt. This is only temporary until I figure out a better mounting location, but it fixed: Poor idle, Gage surges Inaccurate fuel readings Stereo pops There is supposed to be a wire there already, but mine was gone due to a lazy or careless hand at the shop. Thanks to Pelicans archives for this tip – it saved me a lot of trouble. |

Where is the stock loctation of this miracle wire? I haven't been having any trouble with idle or radio noise, but the fuel gauge acts funny sometimes, so I might take a look and I want to be sure I'm looking in the right place.
