wheel offset for 924s/Turbo

Im looking at some wheels, but they are off a boxster with a 40mm rear offset. will they fit?
I know 996 wheels with 9"-et52 will fit (but I dont remember if it was with or without the rear spacers that come on the 931)

Without knowing width it is impossible to tell. The 8" rears I put on my 924S with 52 offset barely fit, no way you're getting another 12mm (either from width or offset) without modifying the fender.

was that with or without the stock spacer?

924S doesn't have a spacer like the 931, they are late offset.

In order for anyone to tell you if a wheel will fit on any car they need to know the wheel offset, diameter, width and the tire measurements.

You can do that yourself and experiment with different sizes on willtheyfit.com by simply entering your current wheel/tire and the planned new set-up, it will tell you exactly the clearance issues if any.

Hmmmm Ok so I had a boxster rear wheel that is a 17x8.5 with et48.
and the math says it will fit, I put it on but cant tell.
Heres some pics. Main issue being was that the boxster wheel didn't have a tire so I couldnt sit the car down.
So right now, on the car, are D90's with the rear being 8" et52 (225/50 tires) WITH the 21mm spacers.
So with the spacers that basically means the offset is 31mm right?

So I took off the spacer and bolted the boxster rim on and it seemed the rim stood out further(with the car in the air):

but then with the car still jacked up

Next I put the d90 back on and noticed it stood out a bit, before I lowered it SO as I lowered it it moved inward.

BTW I did go on willtheyfit and it said it would, im just not convinced.
So Ideally Id like to use 245/40r17
theres plenty of clearance on the D90 8" with 225/50
