Thanks for the info. I'm well past that part of the puzzle now. The a/c relay isn't activating and the voltage readings on the different pins with the a/c switched on make no real sense to me. I worked in electronics in the Air Force and without having a functional description of how this is supposed to operate, I'm thoroughly at a loss.
