944 Starting problems

I have a 87 944S that will not start. the engine turns over. i get good spark. but when i tested the fuel injectors i noticed that the electric pulse is very weak and not constant. any suggestions?

Is fuel reaching the injectors? Is your fuel pump working? There is a screw plug on the end of the fuel rail that you can remove to install a gage to check fuel pressure.

I can find the fuel pressure tester at any local auto parts place, but none has the 11x1.5 mm adaptor called for in the Haynes manual. Anybody know of a particular brand/model fuel testor that works with the 944?
