Rim center cap question

My 968 wheels are black and I intend to return them to silver.

Any tips as to where I could find center caps with a removable crest (so that I can paint the caps the same colour as the rest of the rim).

cheers

I got used modern concave caps from ebay for my Cup 1s, and am just going to mask off the crest when I paint them

BTW if your gone to DIY those wheels & plan to use sray can paint, this paint will be the closest you will come to the OE color.

Thanks folks. Yes they haven’t been washed in a few weeks. I’m going to get them professionally painted along with the Calipers.

Thanks for the Sierra Madre tip. There are quite a few to choose from. What are the period correct ones for a “92 please? Printed crest, black, badged etc...

Will post a pic once finished.

Both the black & color one will be correct for your 92 ,most came out of the factory with the silver black one .

Hi! there Ed ,hope Rolls 912 don't kick my butt for using his thread.First the color is Amazone pearl green,it's a color that change hue depending on the ligth reflextion on it,it is also a water base paint I beleive. No the car is not in the US.Spend most of it life in the Maritimes NS & NB.When I bougth it it had very low mileage on it & sold it to a Canadian engineer working in Brazil. He flew up to Toronto then down New-brunswick pick it up & drove back to Toronto with it.He migth have ship it to Brazil I don't know, the color code is 39A.As you can see ligth reflextion on it is different now it's kind of a greenish color ,hence the pearl green.
