Engine mount bolts
Hi, I’m shortly going to replace my engine mounts, and wanted clarification on the associated bolts required. Clark’s garage tells me there are two options regarding the length, and how to decide what ones to use. Question ——-I would have thought that if I used the bolts that were fitted to the mounts that I’m replacing, that would take care of the required length. Is that correct please?

If I recall the longer bolts were for very early engine mounts that used a nut at the bottom, rather than a tapped hole in the mount itself.
If your car currently has mounts with a tapped hole you should be OK to reuse your bolts. |

I used the bolts in the tapped holes without issue.
