A few questions

I have found a 951 engine and it is in need of some parts. I just odn't know if I can use the ones I already have or if I have to use something different.
1) Are the throttle bodies between the n/a and the 951 interchangable?
2) Are the wiring harnesses interchangable?
3) I doubt this one, but are the mass air meters interchangable?
4) If I run the n/a injectures will I have fuel problems?
5) Kind of a stupid one here, but are the vacuume hoses the same?

One big NO!

You can use the long block, but why would you want to? The Turbo has dished pistons for compression, you would be loosing power putting all of you're NA hardware on it.

I used a Turbo long block in my supercharged project. All of the NA intake parts and such bolt on. But all of the stuuf that you mentioned is not interchangeable.

I have found a good deal on a turbo engine with everything but the parts I mentioned. That's why I"m curious, somethin tells me that I have a smaller throttle body and my runners on my intake are different correct?

Correct.

Cant imagine that the wiring harness is interchangable.

Scott R 05-02-2003 07:09 PM

It's not. The 951 TPS has a different connector, also the lines for the cyclic valve, not to mention the added wiring for the KLR.

Will my n/a injectures work with the turbo motor or will I be too lean?

Roger Hall 05-02-2003 09:04 PM

I belive your injectors are rated to something like 300 hp they might be fine.

gearhead290 05-03-2003 08:02 AM

anybody know how much the n/a injectures flow and how much the turbo injectures flow?

highboost951 05-03-2003 08:20 AM

No way, you need turbo fuel injectors, the factory turbo ones aren't good past 300rwhp
