Hard wiring a dash cam
I want to hard-wire a dash cam into my 924S (with the Bosch GBC bullet style fuses). I don't like those connectors (vampire?) that clamp into the wire with a small 'guillotine' that cuts through the insulation. Is there any thing that will tap off the fuses? If not, I'll scrape a bit of insulation and solder a wire off of a switched 12v wire, hopefully off the additional fuse block which is easy to work with.
ps- Just checked the additional fuse block and, except for#7 (ROW fog lights & no power), the fuses are always 12v. Off main box, only fuses 8-11 are switched. It is a rats nest of wires behind so I think I will need to go closer to whatever is fused by one of these and tap off it.

Can anyone who has hardwired a camera suggest a good spot to tap into accessory switched power? And, while I was looking at the wiring on drivers side, a small metal ring dropped out from somewhere. Just over 1 inch OD and between 1/16 to 1/8 inch thick 'wire'. Anyone recognize it?

Well, no replies but I have sorted it out.
Easiest, cleanest spot to take power was off the radio switched lead at the relay. I soldered a fuse holder three inches from relay and joined it to the camera power lead. The snap ring is to hold the cigarette lighter outlet to the console. Either it is not really needed or it's been hanging around in there a while and another has been installed because the outlet seems solid. Not taking the console off to check unless I have to.
