Quaife. “quick rack” in 944 steering rack??
Quaife sells a 911 kit to reduce the lock to lock of the steering rack. Has anyone installed one in a 944 rack? (I have no idea if the 911 and 944 racks are anywhere similar.)

I have never heard of this for 944's.
The power steering rack has a faster lock-to-lock ratio than the manual racks, that is one reason why many SPEC racers use depowered racks.

I just watched a YouTube video on how to remove some of the bearings and things that are related to the power portion of the rack assembly that may add to the friction in moving the steering. The poster was not sure how much of an advantage it would be but he did take out quite a few items.
