The left turn signal is flashing rapidly indicating a bulb is defective? I have replaced the front bulb as it was a dim light. It continues to rapid flash. Rear light seems to be full bright. Any ideas ?

Could be that the bulb contacts are compromised. What worked for me (to cure the fast blinking) was to thoroughly clean the bulb socket contacts for both front and rear blinkers. You may also want to check the small boot around the front blinker contact (these tend to fall apart with age), and the seal surrounding the rear bulbs assembly, as moisture can easily become trapped there (have actually seen these filled with water!). If you can truly get things clean and dry, contact-wise...then a bit of di-electric grease smeared over the contacts can help protect them from further moisture issues.
Also take a look around at nearby ground connections to see that these are clean, and if not clean them and also smear these with di-electric grease to help protect them. |
