Blinker problems

So I recently replaced all my bulbs with LEDs. I had to also put in a flasher that is compatible with LEDs. But when I turn the blinkers on...They are a little slow and, the lights in the front blink only when the parking lights are off...and the front right one straight up doesn't work. I'm wondering if I need to replace it with a special type of LED? Or if I'm missing something completely... Thank you so much.

hi... dad here who is helping his son (OP for this post) work on this car. for reference, here is the LED flasher we used: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/flashers-load-resistors/cf13gl-02-led-bulb-electronic-flasher/782/836/

It says it should remove the need for load resistors and whatnot, so I'm not sure why the lights aren't flashing as expected. Also, the rear ones flash between dim and bright which I wasn't expecting. I thought they would just flash on and off.

update for others finding this thread who are converting to LEDs: if we change the front dual-function bulbs to the dual function 1157 LED bulbs then that LED flasher from superbrightleds just doesn't like it. But if we put those bulbs back to the original incandescent filament bulbs, it flashes fine (suggesting that there isn't enough current with the LED bulbs to make the flasher work correctly - which is annoying because that's the whole point of the LED flasher).

I spoke with the tech support at superbrightleds and they said it could be that even with that flasher you may still need to add load resistors (which I really don't want to do - I don't want to just leak current as heat just to make a flasher happy) or it could be something wrong with the flasher. He suggested I try getting one from Autozone or something to see if it works and if so, just return the flasher for a refund.

We will try that and report back here!

ok, we tried the EP35 flasher from autozone and we thought it was working. We saw that both the front and back blinkers would flash between dim and bright, even with the parking lights off. I thought that was odd but maybe that is how the 924S blinkers work.

But the next day we tried it again and with the parking lights on, they just don't work right. Either the front ones don't flash or the dashboard blinker indicator doesn't come on, or the rear (single filament bulb) is flashing between dim and bright, which means that the voltage is not toggling completely on and off.

Anyhow, EVERYTHING works normal as soon as we replace the front blinkers with the original incandescent bulbs. So perhaps the 1157 led bulbs I'm using are just not good? I'm not sure. Until we try other LED bulbs in the front we are just going to stick with the EP35 flasher from autozone and leave incandescent bulbs in the front and LED bulbs in the rear.
