I'm looking to make it faster and have it handle better. Forget about my budget because sooner or later I'm going to do the stuff so list what you think is best. Since the NA is liek 8.4 0-60 im wondering if I can make it run low 7's or mid 7's.

Thanks alot guys

The chip is a good start. I would take the other 400 and upgrade the exhaust system also gut the cat if you dont have to deal with emmissions testing.

Make a donation to the Eleg control arm fund. We have been collecting donations for two days for the repair or replacement of a lower control arm on an 85/2 944. J/K

I would spend all $600 on driver education at a race track. Untill you are capable of more than the car (and VERY few are), nothing else comes close for the money. Learn to drive properly, and the car WILL be faster.

Add an intake. I'm soon going to do this mod. Check out this site.

Sweet eh looks! The intake systems do not include filter but they will sell you the best, K&L ones.

And what does that mod do besides deliver hot engine compartment air to the intake manifold?

I would suggest the chip you are already considering. I added one to my 87 and found great gains.

I also bought a Bursch exhaust kit for my car and that gave me some great power as well.

Besides those, I haven't found much else to be beneficial. The intake is a joke and will only make your car sound fast!!!! My intake merely consists of a K&N filter in the stock box. Which is only $40 and a must for an upgrade!

The cone filter has been kicked around here allot, if you like the way it looks and sounds go for it but most people at this BBS say it won't make your 944 much faster.

I have to admit the pictures of that particular filter setup look pretty sharp!

Sorry I'm rambling...
After the chip, my vote goes for sway bars or driver ed!

Good luck.
