1983 No Start - DME Question

Recently purhcased a 944 as a project, so virtually no history with the car. Car was running, but recently will not start. Checked DME using the DME check procedure I found on pelican (relay appears to be good), but have also tried two other relays with no success. Used the jumper method and not getting any noise from fuel pump. Installed DME and turn ignition ON. Have power at terminal 30, and at terminals 86 and 87, but no power at 87b (wire to fuel pump).

Based on this, initially, I am ruling out a possible fuel pump issue since I do not have power going to the fuel pump with the relay or the jumper method. What would cause the FP terminal 87b not to get power?

I have heard comments about a possible alarm issue, but I can nto find an alarm box anywhere in the car (behind the radio, or other areas behind the dash).

Attaching photo of relay incase something looks odd.

I connected a meter to the fuel pump and there is no voltage at the pump with the key in the ON position or while it is cranking. Put direct 12V to pump and pump runs.

What would cause the pump not to get voltage?

I’m not 100% sure if there’s a fuse for the F/P on the early cars but definitely look into that! The alarm module is usually in the passenger footwell near where the passengers right foot would be. Not sure if the early cars have that.

If you can’t find a solution follow the voltage. Start at the beginning of the f/p wire at the DME relay

Hoping that these solutions (offered by others) might be of value:

Very helpful threads, problem resolved. Appears to have been fuse between DME relay and fuel pump. fuse looked fine, but wasn't. DME plug check troubleshooting guide was a huge help - thank you!

on the electrical test chart, are the 944 and 911 dme wiring similar because this chart refers to 6 cylinders? Of course since there are only two firing circuits like the 944 maybe they are similar/same.
