944 S2 Sport Exhaust

I am looking to add some sound to my 1991 944 S2. Any suggestions? I am having trouble finding anything. Dansk? Fabspeed?

I have a cargraphic on my cab. Not cheap, but very good quality. Unfortunately, not many S2's around to compare the sound to.

Culture, do you have a video with HQ sound? They look like beautiful systems and I'd be keen to hear it. Does it have a 100 cell cat?

I tried making a cutout in my Volvo 122S , after doing some work to it.. rebored it 200 CC bgger, hotter cam etc..

bought a 1 inch steel ball and a seat and added a spring behind it. My theory is then it can look and run normal with it's OEM "peashooter" exhaust.

when I had enough backpressure it would open and exhaust out though a little pipe to the road. FUN !

it worked It was quiet as a mouse at idle but open and loud at full throttle. but there was a place where the ball and spring found a state of equilibrium with the spring and then the ball rattled. after a good long run up a 2 hour hill I got the spring hot enough to loose it's tension. i put a bolt in there so I could close it off and I did.

It was also a fire hazard, but a fun project. I thought of maybe using a pneumatic cylinder run off manifold vacuum , or a weight of some sort rather than a spring, and a actual exhaust pipe rather than a pipe pointed down at the road.

a fancy custom exhaust is another idea. probably a better one ;-) it was a fun experiment.

OK, back to your regularly scheduled program ....
