Windshield washer system will not prime
 

Hello all
After replacing the entire windshield washer system components on my 84 944 I cannot get the system to prime.
Everything is new including 2 different new pumps.
Everything new from pickup screen to hood nozzles.
Everything is installed properly.
Any fixes?

Pull the hose off the pickup tube, take a spray bottle filled with water, hold it against the hose end and pump the hoses full of water all the way to the t-fitting if you can. Re-connect the hose and try it.

I should add that I have clear hose from the pickup to the pump to the t-fitting as the system is pretty finicky, and mine drains back even after replacing everything. The check valves do not work perfectly. The clear tube lets me see if I have to get it primed again before taking her out.
