Instrument ground wires

Does anybody know where the ground wire block connector is under the dash on a 1988 924S? I've been under there looking for an hour and can't find it.

They are on the underside of the dash on the far left and right of the dashboard.

Follow the brown wires...

Thanks for the pictures. I don't see anything like that under my dash. I think that is where they are on the 944. Mine is a 924S. I think they are different.

Behind the fuse/relay panel on the foot-well to the left of the clutch pedal. Just pull down the carpet (upper left corner) and you will see a multi-stab male fast-on terminal with a bunch of brown wires plugged in.

I was wondering the same thing (where are those grounds?) Using the invaluable Search feature I found this thread ... and it helped, so thanks!

Easier if you remove the instrument cluster

Anybody know if it's the same on a 968? Having instrument cluster issues, suspect grounding.

Have you found it eventually? I have no clue either where it could be.. 1988 924S too..
Some say it's under the dash above the fuse panel (that no one can find..)

You will have to remove the fuse panel and you will see a star shaped ground connector above the panel in the upper l/h firewall. Hard to see but it is there.
I just cleaned the corrosion on mine, not a fun job.
My suggestion is remove the drivers seat for better access.
Good luck.

if you have access to the end of the wire you know should e grounded you could always just ground it again to some other decent body point If the OEM is bad then it should at least prove it. I dont see an alternate or duplicate ground causing a problem, just thoughtif it helped to not remove the dash or a bunch of stuff then a second wire could be ok from an electrical standpoint. If you are in there sure, clean every ground you can. I don't think you can be too well grounded ;-)
