I AM! In fact my PCA region (Golden Empire Region to be exact for all our members who seemed to have fallen asleep and inactive!) is gearing up to have the race finish live on TV during the St Patricks Day party. Can't wait! Go Audi and Porsche!!!!

i'm taping the whole thing! also, update on the daytona 24 hours tapes... i got another VCR and i'm recording the whole thing (again, because the first one crapped out before i could finish the taping). by the end of this week, or next week, i will have both races fully ready for people to borrow and check out.

Obin, sounds like you have a prety good idea. I taped the entire 24 at Daytona, watched it all as it happened and have rewatched it a couple of times since (not all at once of course). I have all of the 24 at Daytona races taped since '95, but this year I am going to start with Sebring . I have the entire day planned in front of the TV with many o'cold beer.
p.s. My GF thinks I am crazy.

Wink

blackfoot,

Audi's "domination" is nothing new. Toyota swept 17 straight IMSA GTP wins.

also, ahem, don't forget which manufacturer won LeMans more times in a row than any other manufacturer... and won Sebring more than any other manufactuer... and won Daytona more than any other manufacturer ... and placed more cars in the top 10 of all the LeMans for the past 30 years than any other competitor... and has built the most successfull Prototype race car in all of history...

No Manufacturer has a record like Porsche when it comes to endurance racing. Porsche is the winningest marque in sportscar endurance racing, and mostly with the 911 variants. The high point for endurance was probably with the 956/962 cars of the 80s and 90s.
Very glad to see the GT3RS Porsches kick ass on BMWs new V8 M3s. What is that **** all about anyway!!?!

That "****" is all about finding your advantage in the rules structure. Porsche has done this since the 50s very effectively. Most notably with the 935s, and most recently with the Dauer 962s and the 911 GT1. BMW is just taking a page out of Porsche's book. I for one look forward to it. Porsche needs some competition in that class. However they really need to get back into the GTS and Prototype classes.

I agree with you on looking forward to more of the BMW vs Porsche competition in the GT . I was just glad to see Porsche come out on top again. When BMW gets the reliability bugs worked out on the M3 V8 cars, Porsche will definately have to start looking for GTS and Prototype cars to earn certain victories like the GT3s have done recently.
