TPS Location

Can someone tell me phyiscally wich TPS switch is Full, acceleration, and idle. On my 81 924 there are three TPS. One on top of the throttle body two below the throttle body. I will call them front and rear. I am almost positive that the front one is Full, the other two I am not sure of. It appears that my car was wired for the poteinionmeeter style TPS that was used on the Turbo. My car however has the three switches. It seems this was done at the factory. So even though I can identify the wires I cant be sure they are connected to the correct TPS. It is my guess that Idle sould be on top of the throttle body and acceleration should be the rear one below the throttle body.

Roger,

The one on top is the WOT, I,m pretty sure. ON the bottom the first one to make is the idle & the next one the load or acel. Let me check book to make sure. I think early turbo just had two switches. Late model has a 5 pin plug & a kind of cam switch instead of POT. Last night I went to look at some old parts, an early throttle body for turbo to check before answering. The switches weren't on it. Let me get the turbo pin out & we'll see if it matches up to what you have.

Roger,

Illustration page 25-30, arrangement of microswitches, of Workshop Manual, looking at throttle opening
A Acel enrichment & idle stabilaztion - left on bottom
B Shut off O2 sensor - right on bottom
C Acel enrichment - on top

page 25-32,33 checking settings
shows protractor type tool on throttle shaft & use buzzer or continuity tester & switch C off body to mount protractor

A switch point 8 deg + or - 1 deg
B switch point 55 deg + or - 1
C with protractor off set so switch point is before throttle opens.

According current flow diagram in Elect book,
Idle Sw NO
Full load NO
Acel NC

Thinking of the TPS as acceleration enrichment instead of idle, acceleration, and full. My wiring is probably correct.

Thank you very much!
