Well the word Vergeltung has different meanings.
You can hear it in "Vergelts Gott" witch is a comon greeting in bavarain saying thanks may god will pay it back to you as i have nothing to offer now. So the root is a revange. basically the word comes from "Geltung" with can be translatet in urgency or importance. many other words wher splittet from this very old keltik phrase. So the word "Geld" witch translates into money. The nazis liked to use simple and keltic sounding words to show roots back to the time when europa was dominatet by the romians. Those guys had short brains and inventet propaganda witch mmeans controlling the people by words. Today advertise industrie use similar wheapons and is hopeing for "Vergeltung" but not to god. Sorry but I just liked to point out deeper inights about a simple wordgame. Yours fellow beat poetry reader |
