Post Newest Porsche?

Thought you guys would find this interesting...

(Looks a lot more producable doesn't it? I don't dislike it too much personally).

Or you could go to:

Enjoy!

AGHHHH!!! I hate the idea that Porsche is getting into cars other than sports cars (SUV's are considered trucks; sport utility is just a bad name) Arent Porsche Audi Volkswagon all still related companies? Audi should be making the SUV. Thats what I think.

As a kid, my friends and I always thought of Porsche Lamborghini and Ferrari in the same class... Now my friends little brothers are thinking of it as Porsche Mercedes and BMW. Ugh.

i like it. i dont know why everyone is knockin it. the nose looks like a beefed up carrera nose, its sleek for an suv and im sure it will handle great. wait for more info on the cayenne and im sure it will impress some of you. btw, lamborghini made an suv a long time ago. does anyone remember the lm002. hey Ahmet, you have a much better photo of the Cayenne, which had diffrent rims, front air dam, no roof rack and looked lower than the photo you have posted now, show that one.

Well for one thing, i don't like the looks of the new 911s or boxsters in the first place, the lights are too reflective, the body has no curves, lines, or contours that are gt like, and so an SUV is even worse.

Try to imagine an old 911 into an SUV, is it possible? no, becuase the car is proper, and CAN'T be done into an SUV

Anything that CAN be converted into one....is lacking style in the first place, they need to work on the 911 first so it can't be converted into an SUV.

A ferrari SUV? no way. A mercedes SUV? yes, because mercedes makes squarish luxery cars, funeral limo cars, wedding limo cars, royalty cars (for the queens family to transport to the cup of tea party) plus sports cars.

Looks like someone 'photo-shopped' a Benz SUV back with a Boxster front. I got 2 words to describe it....UG-LEE!!

I agree with Hoff, I looks like the latest Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon.

I think car-based SUVs make no sense and are for the posers and soccer moms. Real SUVs are truck based and tow heavy ****, go off-road, have a solid rear axle and look good with scratched paint.

But as long as the Cayenne brings more money to Porsche, and it in turn puts out some new models (preferably that have no resemblence to the Boxster/996/Cayenne), I'll be happy. Any I'm sure the engines and platform used in the Cayenne could be utilized in a modern grand touring 928-like car. I read in AutoWeek that Porsche is considering this.

I'd personally like to see Porsche build a $30k 2+2 sports car to compete with the upcoming Nissan Z car and S2000.

I don' think Porsche will ever do that. They are in the higher end market and they don't want everyone in a Porsche. That would kill sales on the 911.

I saw something posted, last summer I think on the 914 BBS from Road & Track. It showed a little mid engine, 1.8 turbo, 2 seater with the crest. The caption said something like "Another 914?".

I'd lkie that one.

There are a few things to take into account here guys. Porsche only currently makes 2 basic models with different versions. These two cars are both over $45,000. These cars are both fairly high quality cars so Porsche isn't turning a huge profit from them after they pay for all the other crap involved (Employees, power, etc). Companies like Ferrari and Lamborghini are better equiped to run under those conditions because their cars cost two or three times as much as a porsche. If Porsche makes good money on the Cayenne and therefore can invest into another 944 esque car (front engined, etc) then I am totally for it.

Subaruish? It looks like that stupid Hyundai thing!

I think most Porsche enthusiasts have their own (negative) opinions about it. At this point, so late in the SUV game anyway, YAAAAWWWN, another SUV. What are they going to stop at? When is the Porsche 4DR luxury sedan coming out?

What? some other company is making money on something??? We need to make one!!

ME? ... I'm waiting for the new Ferrari SUV, i hear it's due out next year!

Yeah but Rollins the Cayenne is supposed to be a little Under $66,000 So The Boxter would be the cheapest porsche out on the market.

Well has anyone mentioned it supposed to go 0-60 in around 6 seconds!!! Yes an SUV with a 6 second 0-60. It will have a twin turbo v-8. Now if I had to own an SUV it'd be that one.

still not as ugly as the new jeeps. At least in my opinion. But I still think Porsche shouldn't have ventured into this market. But as has been said, a v8 tt, that thing is going to be damn fast.
