Simple Question?
 

Alright, this may seem like a silly question, and I thought I new almost everything about my baby, but. What is the cylinder shaped molded attachment to the oil filler tube. It is molded at the bottom of the tube and goes up about 6" and then a large vacuum line is attached. Mine is not broken and works fine, I just want to know what it is.

I have also wondered about this piece....it appears to be some sort of filter for the crankcase.....maybe an emissions part to vent the crankcase back into the intake....
Don,t really know ......that's my best guess..

The molded piece, to the oil filler tube (it's really one piece) is a seperate route for air. Basically a crank case breather. The "large vacuum hose" is simply the vent. Ahmet
