sachs or power friction?
Ok my clutch is slipping really bad. This is kind of ironic because I just asked in the chat about a week ago about the shaking my car does when stepping on the gas after coasting, and they said that my clutch is going. So, my question is should I get the sachs kit or the power friction kit. Both are spring centered. Sachs is $459 and power friction is $415. thanks

Get the stock spring center and pressure plate. Center disk is from the turbo I think.
Or get the same construction from an after market supplier if less $$$. |
"Sachs is $459"
Keep pricing. I've seen them for as low as $390 (though they might have been on sale then)... What exactly is the 'power friction?' i've seen it advertised... is it a stock replacement, or a more agressive upgrade? |
Where have you seen it for $390? These are the cheapest prices I've seen yet for the kit...

Vertex auto advertises a 3-piece spring clutch for $389 in Excellence and Panorama. On the website it says $459 for the Sachs and $415 for the other one.

$389? I'll have to check in excelllence and email them about that. I wonder if it's some "saw it in our add price." Vertex is where I was looking at for the other ones. I was just wondering which one would be better. I emailed them and asked if there was a difference, no response yet.
