EXCELLENT!!! I added all these sightings to my site! I also credited everyone!

If i don't have your real name or info up there, then please tell me and i'll fix it.

thanks so much. keep 'em coming! the list is by far the largest on the internet. i am also going to check into linking all the movie info to a place like Amazon or CDNOW and see if we can get a discount on the movies if we order them.

thanks again!

Hey Shaun...how many times have you posted the same exact thing about having an automatic? http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/wink.gif

Speaking of the Simpsons, in the episode where he's reunited with his daughter, Krusty the Klown drives a white 911 cab.

The Simpsons is God's gift to television.

I saw a show a couple of months back from around 1980. It was a movie filmed entirely on location in Australia, with (surprise, surprise) an entirely Aussie cast. I can't remember the name, but it was about a kid who stole a lovely silver 930. The whole film was about him driving all over the place trying to elude the cops. In the end, he's out of gas money, and the car's out of oil, so he rids himself of the evidence by pushing it off a cliff. I've never seen such a terrible sight in a movie as seeing that car fly apart and get utterly destroyed. Sniff, sniff.

the movie is called "Freedom" and it is one of the coolest movies i've ever seen.

the director of "Freedom" also did "Shine", another wonderful film.

Thank Obin. The memory is the first thing to go when you hit 30!

Hey Obin...Last night on CBS-TV, "Nash Bridges", the 'bad guy' pulled in behind an armored truck to do nasty things. He seemed
to be in a red 968(?). Someone with better
"eyes" should verify my sighting- the viewer
gets glimpses, never a full shot.

JH924S 03-31-2001 05:24 PM

sorry to tell ya macreel but it was one of the newer 911's, but it was a sweet ass red convertible.

Allldi 04-07-2001 12:40 AM

Obin, there has been another appearence. In the new movie, Along Came A Spider, Morgan Freeman's character drives what I believe is a black 930, or it could be a black 964. I'm not that good with the 911 internal designations. You might want to go see it and verify. It's not that bad of a flick anyway, especially if you like mystery/detective stuff. Anyway, please chalk it up. Thank you!

you may not have noticed it, but in "risky business" right before guido the killer pimp starts chasing miles, joel & lanna, the 928 passes a bright yellow 911.

CJFusco 04-07-2001 09:32 PM

The 911 in ALONG CAME A SPIDER is a G-Model 911... since it does not have huge flared arches and does have Fusch alloys, I would guess it was a late70s-early80s 911SC.

951carter 04-07-2001 10:54 PM

i dont know if you have it listed or not as i dont know the URL for your site but do you have true romance with christian slater? 911 cab slantnose.

Obin Robinson 04-08-2001 06:42 AM

"risky business" used two 928's, the first time in cinematic history a 928 had a stunt double!

you may not have noticed, but in some scenes the 928 had phone dials, and in others in had 5-spoke rims similar to cup rims. the 5-spoke stunt double took the plunge into lake michigan!

In the movie SLC Punk! Steveo's father has a 911. I don't recall if it was an SC or not. But that's what I believe it was.

macreel 04-08-2001 12:55 PM

Thanks JH924...good eyes. Yes, it's a "bad" cabrio; I'd drive it.

Allldi 04-08-2001 07:54 PM

Yo Obin, would you do me a favor and change my name from Alldi to Allldi on your page? Nothing urgent but I'd appreciate it. Thank you!

Reviving this thread. Romeo Must Die has a silver 996 Carrera Cab in a few scenes. Don't think that it was mentioned and its not on your site. Also according to this site, Gone in 60 Seconds has a 99 996 (seen at the beginning), a 2000 Boxter, 61 Speedster, 88 959, and a 97 993tt. Don't know if the Boxter and 993 are in the movie though.
