924s Dme

I bought an Autothority Chip and a K&N Cone Filter.

However, I am having trouble finding the DME on my 87 924S, does anyone know where to locate it? Also, the Filter came without instructions, how does one install it?

you will have to remove the airbox to install the cone filter. there are 2 bolts at the front and 2 at the rear that attach it to the air box frame thing. i think thats all.
there should be a hose clamp or some sort of adapter that came with the cone filter to attach it to the intake hose.

Where is the DME?

Look under the dash. It's attached to the bottom of the steering column.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Should I remove the entire DME or can I open the case and swap the chip with it connected to the car?

If you like laying on your back with the steering wheel poking in your ribs just do it in the car.

I would take the unit out.
