Post Engined Died

I had my 924 on the freeway today and it just stopped running. Engine will turn over but not start. Its not a rod problem. Seems to be getting plenty of fuel ( I checked) but does not seem to be getting any spark. Changed the cap and rotor and tested two plugs.. Still no spark. Checked all the fuses.. All good.. Does this sound like a bad ignition coil? I have never had one go out on me so its hard to tell.. Anyone have any ideas?

Could it be a timing belt?

You check the distrib cap and rotor, and the inside of distrib?
Sometimes something gets dislodged, a peice of plastic gets jammed in the sensor, or the pin in the sensor thing gets broken or dirty...but wait you have the hall sensor type later ignition right? hmm..check connection at hall sensor and check it and ignition module according to instructions in haynes.
Rarely do coils go, so probably a coil connection fell off, your rotor came off, or something.

Clean coil terminals with wire brush if you find it bad and check again (rarely do coils go bad though)

Do you have voltage at the coil? Do you have a pulsing ground at the coil during cranking?

Do you have 12 V at the hot side of the coil as Krazed asks? If no, switch may be bad. With the cap off does the rotor move during cranking? If no, key in timing pulley may be sheared or gear slipping on sdistributor end of cam.

Does your car have a CD box?
