Best way to save paint?

So what is it. Keeping it in the garage.. will the dust and crap damage paint also. What is the best way to keep my paint safe.

Keep it out of the sun when not neccessary and wax it once or twice a year. Don't over wash or wax it either.

Get alot of dirt on it to protect the paint from the harmfull UV rays http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/smile.gif At least that's what I say when it's time to wash a car.

Just keep it in the shade when you can and keep it clean,I wax mine about 2-3 times a year.I've only had the car about 4-5 months and i've waxed it once, fixin to do it again.

General rule of thumb is to wax it once the water stops beading on it.

What do you mean the paint on his truck turned to a box a fruit loops? What are you trying to say? If it was a GM or early 90's Ford I'm not surprised.

the sonofa***** had like red, red-orange, and orange colors on it...of course that coulda been because we used dishwashing soap at the time

Nowadays we only use Zymol and Meguiars for our cars.
