best header for 924

okay, so we ruled the MSDS header out because they don't FIT the 924 (unless your exhaust system goes through the roof and the catalytic converter is next to the shift knob, and you have a mandrel bender, a sawz all, and a welder, and more money into modifying the header than you spent on the thing in the first place).

the only other places i found was:

PAECO (their header supplier discontinued the 924 ones, so if you ordered a 924 one, cancel the order)

Stahl: kind of $$$

Bursch: they crack uner stress.

who is left? custom belt pipes or maybe a bored out manifold?

Was that the one piece competition header or the two piece street version you had problems with ?

3-piece

a.k.a... 3 pieces that don't fit together unless you have a welder, sawz-all, and mandrel bender.

I have the one piece MSDS header on my '79 and it fits perfect. I bought it about 1 year ago.

so why don't the 3-piece fit? is the 1-piece worth it?

I had a three piece monza header before this one. The car feels stronger with this header.Almost like a different engine, but I can't back it up with any numbers. It just feels stronger.
