Talking OT: Motorcycle lovers

Ok guys, I know their has to be some of you guys out there. Well, today I just got my new bike. It is an early eighties Yamaha 750. It has a lot of miles(45,000) mostly highway since it has been to both of the coasts. It was a friend of the families and it runs great. So how many of you guys are out there and what do you guys have?

Can anyone guess what kind of car is peeking through the night? It shouldn't be to hard.

I owned a Virago once, 85 1000cc. Check those valves periodically. They love to slip out of adjustment. Bikes are great congratulations to you! I hope you love riding. I have a 1999 Yamaha R1 myself.

Good luck with your Virago Stray. I had a 750cc that I thoroughly enjoyed. Those bikes tend to have bad starters. Hopefully yours won't. Mine made a metallic slapping sound inside the starter during startup. I ended up having it rebuilt. Never did really sound right, but always started. Enjoy the bike and the fresh air in your face!

Thanx, the starter already gave the previous owner problems and he had it taken care of. Now sometimes it doesn't like to start but that is because of the battery.

Not bad for a four-stroker...I just sold my last running bike, a Honda NSR250. Orignally I was planning on selling it and getting a Yamaha TZ, but an '83 porsche kinda jumped in the way!!

Cars are nice and roommy, but GPers and bikes in general have alot better power/weight ratio...our (bear-racing's) TZ250 reads about 80 hp on the dyno, but probably makes about 90 or more at the crank..weighs 90 kg.

not good for wet roads!

I've got a brand new 2001 Triumph TT600. I love it, and wouldn't trade it for anything else in the 600cc class. Here's a couple of photos of it in front of my 951 before I wrecked the 951...

Damn, I haven't posted on here in a long time. Anyway I used to own a 2000 Virago 535. I liked the bike, but it lacked top end power and sheer acceleration. I sold it and bought my current bike, a 2001 Suzuki SV650.
Of course my 944 is still my primary means of transport.

Congrats on your bike, V-Twins are awesome motors.
