emissions testing time
taking the 944 in tomorrow, for its last {whoo-hoo} emissions test. after a car is 20 years old, here in ontario, its no longer required to re-test.
should be ok, it passed last time, with just an 02 sensor change. my question is, i feel that the cat is somewhat plugged ! it is the original, and after my {succesful} test, i'm leaning towards either a straight pipe, or getting the bursch test pipe, in its place. i dont mind the muted sound of the standard system, nor do i mind a bit more loudness, but i dont want the cat, or anything else there,if its going to be plugged. always looking to increase efficiency!! any suggestions? {apart from sell it, and buy a 951!!} he write's , tongue in cheek. regards, bob.:) |
Don't have the 20 year thing here in California. If the car has the equipment it has to work.

whoo-hoo!!!!!!!!!! running around, doing the funky chicken dance!! my car passed, and quite handsomely too. even the tech who done the test was impressed, by low emissions.
all done now, will never ever have to go thru all that b/s again. now if only my olds would play this game! bob. |
My 944 passed emissions here in Washington state without the cat.
